Hummus

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (15 ounces) of garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
  • 3 tablespoons of tahini
  • 3 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cumin
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed

Instructions:

  1. In a food processor, combine the garbanzo beans, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, cumin, and salt.
  2. Pulse the mixture until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. With the food processor running, gradually add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the hummus reaches your desired consistency.
  4. Taste the hummus and adjust seasoning as needed.
  5. Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
